British Foreign Office Victim of Cyberattack

The British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office was the victim of a cyberattack earlier this year. That writes the British newspaper Daily Express on Tuesday.

 

According to the British government, it was a “serious cybersecurity incident”, but further details are not available.

The ministry immediately enlisted the help of cybersecurity firm BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.

The company received 467,326 British pounds to investigate the attack and to advise the ministry on how to better protect itself against cybercriminals in the future.

It is not clear who is behind the attack.
