British Prime Minister: France Wants to Solve Transport Problems Quickly

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson held a telephone call with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday about the largely halting of traffic between France and the United Kingdom.

Johnson was told by Macron that he wanted to come up with a solution within hours.

In a press conference, Johnson said he understands concerns about the more contagious variant of the coronavirus that is emerging in his country.

Although freight traffic with mainland Europe has primarily stopped, Johnson assured the British would not face shortages in the stores. “Our supply is robust.”
