Charles and Camilla Dwell on Attacks 7/7

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla commemorated the terrorist attacks committed in London in 2005 on Tuesday.

“Today we are commemorating the people who survived this horror and the surviving relatives of the victims of the 7/7 attacks,” Camilla and Charles wrote on Twitter.

Due to the corona crisis, only a small group of people were physically present at the memorial of the attacks.

Prince Charles, like British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and London Mayor Sadiq Khan, recorded a video message to the online memorial service.

“Despite the virtual nature of the commemoration, I would like to remind you, those involved and the next of kin, that tolerance, hope, and compassion will prevail over division and hatred. Our thoughts are with you,” said Charles.

On July 7, 2005, 52 people were killed and over 700 injured in four bomb attacks on public transport by Muslim suicide bombers in London.
