Clear Way for Trump Administration for First Death Sentences Since 2003

The way is clear for President Trump’s US administration to carry out capital punishment. That would be the first federal (national) executions since 2003.

The Supreme Court of the United States rejected objections from four sentenced to death.

Detainees had complained about the lethal injection protocols. A lower court had previously rejected the claim of the four.

It concerns prisoners who were convicted of murder by a federal court, not by a court of one of the American states.

American media are talking about a victory for the Trump administration that wants to start executions in mid-July.

After an interruption of more than fifteen years, President Trump and the Ministry of Justice want to strengthen their strict justice policy by resuming the death penalty.
