EU Condemns Missile Attack by Rebels on Tripoli

The European Union condemns a missile attack by the troops of warlord Khalifa Haftar on the Libyan capital Tripoli.

 

According to the internationally recognized government, fifteen people have died and at least fifty people have been injured.

“The missiles landed in residential areas, the Italian embassy has almost been hit,” the EU said in a statement.

According to the Libyan government, the missiles have caused a lot of damage especially in the east and south of Tripoli.

Haftar’s troops have been trying to take Tripoli for more than a year, but have not yet succeeded.
