Greta Thunberg is Going Back to School

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg (17) is returning to school after a one-year sabbatical. “It’s great to be back at school finally,” Thunberg tweeted Monday.

She did not indicate at which school she will attend classes again, but she is a bit later than other students. In Sweden, the summer vacation ended last week.

Thunberg and other climate activists visited German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Thursday.

The teenager started her climate strike when she was fifteen. She skipped school to campaign in the Swedish parliament, after which she announced a sabbatical from school last year.

She became a figurehead of the climate movement that travelled the world to take action and speak at climate summits.
