New York Judge Allows Abuse Proceedings Against Prince Andrew

The judge in New York finds that 38-year-old Virginia Giuffre has an abuse case against the British Prince Andrew. She wants to start a lawsuit against the prince because he allegedly abused her three times in 2001 as a 17-year-old teenager when she was called Virginia Roberts.

That was in the circles of the wealthy businessman and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in a cell in New York in 2019. Epstein allegedly ordered Giuffre to have sex with the prince.

Giuffre filed a complaint last year. However, a major obstacle to the proceedings against the 61-year-old son of the British Queen appeared to be Giuffre’s deal with Epstein in 2009. The just-published, previously secret agreement states that she received half a million dollars from Epstein and would not file any complaints against him in return.

But it was also explicitly stated that Giuffre will no longer take legal action “based on complaints she had or has” against Epstein’s entourage. He has been described as Epstein’s “adult male peers, including royals, politicians, academics, businessmen and/or other professional and personal acquaintances.”

But the twelve-page agreement between Epstein and Giuffre from 2009 does not constitute an obstacle. Giuffre is seeking damages and is basing her claim on complaints she received after the agreement was signed, such as emotional problems due to the abuse.
