President Donald Trump’s campaign team has asked Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani to plead the appeal in the federal lawsuit in Pennsylvania over the state’s election results.
Trump’s team aims through the lawsuit to overturn the approval of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory there.
The Trump campaign asked the U.S. court of appeal in Philadelphia on Wednesday to schedule a hearing and allow Giuliani to bring forward arguments.
The former New York City mayor and former federal prosecutor appeared again before a judge for the first time in nearly three decades on November 17 to plead the case at a hearing. There he made wild allegations about significant voter fraud and conspiracy. On Saturday, the team was cleared from a lower court.
Giuliani redoubled his conspiracy claims in a derailed press conference alongside Trump attorney Jenna Ellis and Sidney Powell. The team sidetracked the latter on Sunday.
As he spoke, some streaks of hair dye seemed to run down the sides of Giuliani’s face, a moment that quickly went viral on the internet.
