Samsung Introduces Heavy-Duty Tablet

A device built for extreme environments, that’s how Samsung describes its latest Galaxy Tab Active3.

The tablet is, among other things, dust and water-resistant, and according to the manufacturer, also easily survives a fall from heights of up to one and a half meters.

The design of the rugged tablet is based on that of the Tab Active2 and focuses on improving employee productivity and safety. For example, the touch-sensitive screen can also be used with gloves on, which can be useful for first aiders, for instance.

The Tab Active3 has a primary camera of 13 megapixels, while the front camera of 5 MP, according to Samsung, is perfect for video or conference calls. The device also supports Google ARCore, which enables various augmented reality applications, such as remote training.

Of the other specifications, we especially remember the Exynos 9810 processor, the RAM of 4GB and storage capacity of 128GB, and WiFi6 with MIMO for fast wireless connections.

The battery of the tablet, suitable for 5,050mAh, is also interchangeable so that you can also continue working when there is no power outlet nearby.

It is also worth noting that the Tab Active3 is compatible with Samsung DeX, a feature to upgrade specific mobile devices to an almost full-fledged PC, by connecting a larger screen, mouse and keyboard.

Incidentally, not only is the tablet itself dust and water-resistant, but the so-called S Pen is also IP68 certified.
