Tesla Sales Plummet in France and Sweden

Tesla again sold far fewer cars in France and Sweden in March. Sales in both countries were at their lowest level in the first quarter in four years.

The American manufacturer of electric cars is struggling with outdated models and increased competition from cheaper Chinese cars. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is also receiving a lot of criticism for his work for American President Donald Trump.

Tesla registered 3,157 cars in France and 911 in Sweden in March. According to official sales data, that is a decrease of almost 37 percent in France and almost 64 percent in Sweden compared to last year.

Sales decreased for the third month in a row. Quarterly sales fell to 6,693 in France and to 1,929 in Sweden.
