The Annual Bull Run in Spanish Pamplona Cancelled for Corona

The famous annual bull run in Pamplona, Spain, was cancelled in July due to the coronavirus crisis, local authorities said Tuesday.

More than half a million people usually attend the ancient San Fermin party, where fighting bulls chase hundreds of daredevils through the city’s narrow streets.

Many wear traditional white shirts and scarves. There are usually more than 200 injured in the running of the bulls.

The festival, made famous in part by Ernest Hemingway’s novel The Sun Also Rises, has rarely been cancelled.
