The England National Football Team Will Return to Wembley in October

The England national football team will return to Wembley in October. The national team will play in the London football temple for the first time this year on Thursday, October 8.

England receives Wales for a practice match which in principle takes place behind closed doors.

As it stands now, due to the corona measures, the public is not welcome at Wembley in the game between the two British countries.

England starts the international game in September with two away games in the Nations League, against Iceland (September 5) and Denmark (September 8). The first home game in the country tournament is on October 11 against Belgium, also at Wembley.

Three days later, the team of national coach Gareth Southgate in London also plays against Denmark.

The week before, at the friendly meeting with Wales, England pays tribute to four internationals of the 1966 World Cup who died in the past eight months: Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter, Peter Bonetti and Martin Peters.
