Zelensky Claims 3,000 North Koreans have been Killed or Wounded

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that 3,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded in the Russian region of Kursk, where they are fighting Ukrainian troops.

South Korea said earlier on Monday that there were 1,100 dead and wounded North Koreans.

Zelensky writes on X that army leader Oleksandr Syrsky informed him about the number of North Korean victims. Ukraine, the United States and South Korea previously claimed that an estimated 12,000 North Korean troops are active in Russia.

According to Zelensky, there is a chance that Pyongyang will send even more troops to the Kursk region. The Ukrainian president stressed that cooperation between North Korea and Russia is a danger to the entire world order, as the allies share not only weapons but also technologies.
