Apple is delaying the launch of its AI-enabled personal smartphone assistant Siri. New artificial intelligence features may not be available until next year, when they were initially scheduled to be introduced in April.
The Bloomberg news agency learned that engineers at the American company are reportedly trying to remove bugs from the new software. So far, this has not been successful.
Internally, some top executives have expressed concern that specific applications do not work as Apple has announced in advertisements.
The delay is an embarrassment to Apple, which has been teasing the new features in commercials for months. When it launched the iPhone 16 in the fall, Apple said it was being built for Apple Intelligence, which the company calls its AI tools.
However, key applications may not be available until after the next iPhone launch.
